A quote from Blake, “Baseball builds character.  I expect my players to have good character both on and off the field.  As with most sports, baseball is a team sport and your loyalty is to that team.  Through good and bad, you look out for each other.  You work hard together, you play hard together, and you have fun in the process.  I want to be able to give my players a sense of perspective and help them respond to the challenges that lie ahead.”
Blake is married to wife, Rosetta.  They have two children, Zachary and Libby.

Text Box: At Plano Senior High School, Tommy was a 2 year varsity player and was very successful under Coach David Allen. Tommy led Plano his senior year in strike-outs and outstanding era of 1.25. After at great season, during the summer of 2005, Western Texas College recruited Tommy as a two spot position player.

Western Texas College recruited Tommy as a 3rd baseman under Coach Billy Hefflinger. Tommy also was able to experience a junior college world series in Sun City, Arizona. Tommy taught himself to switch hit and average a .280 batting average from the left side, and right under .300 on his right. In 2007, Coach Craig Moore took over WTC and gave Tommy a full-ride scholarship to come back and help his pitching staff in the rotation.

After playing baseball, Tommy decided to start his coaching career and it began with the Dallas Dragons. Tommy was given the 15U team as the head coach. Throughout the season, his team was successful and they ended up winning the BBI league in 1st place. During second season as a head coach, Tommy took his team to win 2nd place in the league, and won over three state tournaments around the country in the summer of 2007.

Tommy Stanford is only 21 years old and is ready to take any challenges into his own hands and trusts to be successful. We are excited to have Tommy with the Dallas Diamond Jaxx and is sure to retrieve many other wins under our belts.
